Dr Vivienne Thorn has been a GP in Torquay for 18 years and has been in practice at Barton Surgery since April 2000. She graduated from Edinburgh University in 1979 and completed her post-graduate training in Torquay. She lives in a house overlooking the sea with her husband John, an anaesthetist, her father, three daughters and three dogs. In her spare time she loves gardening. She is a good weather sailor and also enjoys skiing.
